The Federal Government of Nigeria in a recent report have addressed the issue regarding the news that have been circulating online on the date for resumption/reopening of schools.
Reports gathered by MYTECH states that, some days ago, there has been news circulating online through social media and other forms saying that Federal Government of Nigeria has finally given date of schools resumption. According to the report, it was disclosed that the date given by FG for resumption is July 20, 2020.
On this note, the Federal Ministry of Education has reached out to the public mandating the students and parents to refute such news as it was not emanated from the Ministry. The purported was tagged ‘a fake news’ by the Ministry, therefore everyone is urged to disregard such report.
MYTECH gathered that the Ministry of the Education and the Federal Government at this time have not confirmed yet, the resumption date of schools nationwide as the covid-19 cases is still increasing tremendously on daily basis.
Meanwhile, MYTECH gathered that the Federal Government has commenced disinfecting public schools around the country in preparation to resumption. This is to ensure safety in schools and as well control, limit and curb the spread of the corona virus.
