3 Ways On How To Track a Stolen device

Today am gonna show you some useful ways on how you can track and get your stolen android phone back without too much of stress.
Just follow these my 3 simple steps:

STEP. 1

Android Device Manager (ADM)
As long as your device is connected to your Google Account, you have access to the Internet, your location is turned on, and ADM is set to locate your device before it disappears, and you can still recover it.

ADM can indicate the location of your default device unless you have it disabled in the settings. To locate your lost phone with ADM, go to android.com/find on your PC, sign in to your Google Account and select the device you are looking for if you have more than one.

Publicity

Google shows you the approximate location of your device and gives you the option of;

Ring even if your device is set to silence
Lock it with a password or PIN template even if you did not have one before. You can also add a recovery message on the lock screen. For example, you can write “please call this number if you have my device”
Erase all data on your device.
If you do not have access to a PC, you can also download the “Find My Device” app from the Play Store on another phone. Unfortunately, if your phone is off, ADM can only tell you the last place your device was seen. You can also use a similar feature on Apple devices to find your iPhone.

Third-party applications
In addition to the built-in Android Device Manager, you can also install other phone tracking apps on your device before you lose it. Like the Android Device Manager, most of these third-party apps can help you locate, lock, and erase data on your phone. However, some nice features make it easy to find your phone. Anti-theft Cerberus, Family Locator and Lost Android are some popular phone tracking apps with other cool features.

STEP. 2

Google search
If your device is already linked to your Google Account, you can simply type “find my phone” in the Google search bar and select the first search result. Once you’re logged in to your account, you can locate your device and choose to ring it or go ahead and choose the recovery option.

Of course, you will need your device to be connected to your Google Account and connected to the Internet to do this. However, Google also sends a notification to your phone after locating your device. This does not seem to be a very good idea if your phone has been stolen.

STEP. 3

IMEI number

If your phone was stolen and the thief turned it off or did a factory reset, it may be impossible to recover your phone through the previous methods already discussed. Your best way to find your lost phone is its International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI) number and you may need help from your network operator and police services to get there.

You can also track your IMEI number through a lost or stolen phone database. Computer Village launched a unified database for this a few months ago. You can find your IMEI number on your phone, behind its battery or simply dial * # 06 #.
